Shiona McIntosh (she/her)

Shiona McIntosh is a retired family physician who has a lifelong passion for helping others. Her interest in preventive medicine eventually led her to become a certified teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, a program developed in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zin.

She has taught Mindfulness programs for many years to groups of adults, including specialty groups for physicians, accountants, allied health professionals, university students and Indigenous communities. Shiona loves combining her medical background with mindfulness teachings, and being creative with how the information is presented. She is also a Reiki Master/Teacher. and has been awestruck by the transformative power of energy healing.

Working alongside her dear friend Sandy Lund, the two have co-created beautiful spaces to help people relax enough into their bodies to allow true healing to begin. Shiona is excited to continue on this journey of life-long learning and service to others with you.

Sandy Lund (she/her)

Sandy Lund is a Reiki Master/Teacher and a certified yoga teacher (2008) who specializes in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga. A retired educator, Sandy has stepped into a different classroom: one that offers rest and nourishment for the mind, body and soul. She is comfortable working with students of all ages, from her mental health work in schools grades 4-12, to her adult students, elders and peers, who attend her Joy of Movement and yoga classes, as well as yoga teachers in past restorative yoga teacher trainings.

Her own personal continued studies include trainings with Judith Lasater (Restorative Yoga), Jennifer Reiss (Yoga Nidra) and Brian Weiss (Past Life Regression Therapy). Sandy is grateful for all her Reiki teachers who have guided her over the years, specifically Jocelyn Clark and Donna Jones - who continue to lead and inspire her.

Sandy always loves leading others to presence and rest alongside her peer and dear friend Shiona. Together they have expanded and grown from co-leading two hour workshops to one-day retreats, 3-day retreats, and now a 6-day retreat.

"It is our intention that all of our participants feel nourished and supported by the venue, ourselves as teachers, and a program filled with practices designed to soften, open and expand the body, mind and spirit. Our desire is to see each of you continue on a journey of personal growth with renewed trust and confidence in yourselves."
